Description

REACH, BPA, ISO
All raw materials that we use for not recycled products are approved raw materials according to various European and American regulations, which may come into contact with food products. The most common terms are REACH, Bisphenol A (BPA), and ISO.

REACH
Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) is a regulation of the European Union, EC No. 1907/2006. These regulation requires the registration of chemicals. The Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) is part of REACH. According to statements of our production partners and our current knowledge, substances mentioned in the Candidate List of SVHC for Authorization are not present in concentrations above 0.1% w/w in the products we offer and are not made from recycled material.

Bisphenol-A (BPA)
Bisphenol-A is a substance that is/was used in many different products. With regard to packaging, it can occur in products made of, for example, Polycarbonate or PVC products, we do not offer both types. BPA is on the SVHC list which is linked to the REACH statement and is therefore regulated in the EU. The raw materials used by our production partners are free of BPA according to the statements of our production partners and our current knowledge. ISO ISO is a worldwide name for recording/documenting quality standards. In addition to the ISO, a country can also impose its own standard, such as the NEN inspections in the Netherlands. Almost all our production partners are ISO 9001:2015 compliant and many have ISO-5001 Energy Management.

HDPE

Recycled HDPE or High-Density Polyethylene R-HDPE is a sturdy, semi-transparent plastic with a matte surface. R-HDPE has a good water and oxygen barrier and is also reasonably crack and fall resistant. R-HDPE is the most used plastic in the manufacture of plastic bottles. R-HDPE is generally well resistant to acid and alkaline products and alcohol. R-HDPE is also resistant to a broad spectrum of chemicals, with the exception of some solvents such as turpentine and benzene. R-HDPE is not suitable for distilled oils. Recycled HDPE is not aproved for food

Round

We call a bottle round if the bottom of the bottle forms a perfect circle, the indicated diameter is measured on the outside of the bottle at its widest point. Our round bottles can have different shoulders, with the shoulders we mean the part where the bottle will narrow at the top in order to gradually transition into the neck part. The most common variants are a rounded or tight shoulder. When rounded, there is a radius on the bottle and the side runs smoothly over a sloping top which connects to the neck part. The tight shoulder is a hard angle after which the bottle slopes towards the neck. Finally, we have a conical shoulder on the Bullet round, this shoulder starts already halfway through the bottle and gradually goes in a point shape towards the neck part without a clear edge.
