Recycling: Taking Sustainable Steps Together
About 20% of all waste consists of packaging materials. That’s why, as a company, we find it important to take responsibility in this area. But of course, we can’t do it alone. We work together with our customers on sustainability. We do this by using recycled materials, providing sustainability advice, and collaborating on sustainable designs.
At HD Packaging, we offer various types of recycled plastic for different markets such as cosmetics, automotive, cleaning, and food. For example, we use MoPET, a material made from Dutch deposit-return bottles, ensuring a clear origin. There are different quality levels, with the highest, MoPET-A, also being suitable for food, beverages, and cosmetics.
Sustainability Pays Off
From January 1, 2024, the Afvalfonds Verpakkingen (Packaging Waste Fund) will introduce the new Tariff Differentiation Plastic 2.0. This rewards easily recyclable packaging. Companies using well-recyclable plastic packaging can receive a discount on the plastic material fee of up to 50 cents per kilogram.
Easily recyclable plastic starts with design. At HD Packaging, we have been experts for over 50 years in developing and building customer-specific and custom molds.
